Room was perfectly clean, everything in excellent working order. All the staff we came across were friendly, attentive and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble! The food was absolutely delicious, we had 3 courses and couldn't fault anything. Would highly recommend staying and eating here.

A beautiful hotel with good size rooms. The car park can be full and isn't the easiest to get round when it is if you have a longer vehicle. Location is great and it's quiet. We didn't eat here but did use the bar which was really good. This is a perfect place for a romantic break.

Wonderful place. I have not stayed in the hotel but I have eaten here many times. The restaurant is pretty nice with good views over Tavistock church, however this hotel really excels in the bar areas in which the full menu I also served - wonderful leather/leatherette arm chairs, lovely traditional paintings in the wall etc. The menu is solid, the mains are tasty, i personally recommend the sausages and battered fish and treacle pie for dessert. I really love the ambiance and yes it's pricey but for an afternoon, it's highly recommended. I should also reference the excellent service. There was a delay in receiving my order and I was comped a tea. Really great proactive service.
